After playing the 2008 version Prince of Persia it renewed my enjoyment of the series and I immediately bought this game right away, and while the level animation and combos as well as the tricks you can do in the game are incredible the cutscenes animation were sadly lacking looking almost like you’d expect in games about eight years ago something you don’t expect with this kind of game. Also some people were complaining about the voice actor from the 2008 version saying he lacked the wisecracking and smarmy attitude of the previous Prince of Persia character, I have to say that I feel that’s really wrong that actor I felt did have a great voice and attitude of the Prince character and I truly wish he did this one too as and while the voice actor for this game is very good he didn’t quite entertain me as did the previous voice actors skills. The extra bonuses are pretty good for the price of the game so for adventure fans is the game worth buying?, and my thought says yes but if you’re still undecided try out the demo and make sure before getting the game because while it is pretty good it still might not be for you…

Don’t buy it! The graphics are about as poor as you can get. It should have come out for the supernintendo. No more 3D like in the previous games. Get ready to be bored with another side scrolling throw-back. The combat is sluggish and essentially developmentally delayed. I would rather read a book than waste another second on this less than mediocre game.Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
This game is more about jumping and going through obstacles at the right time. This game is not really a fighting game. I’m almost half way of the game. IGN gave 6 out 10 as Passable. I like it.
Some say the graphics are not that good, but not all 3D games are good neither. I enjoy this game more than Assassin Creed: Bloodiness for the PSP.
Look at some trailers or gameplay on youtube before you decide to get this game.
This takes you back to the originals.
Very good fun.
It doesn’t have the slow down time but the timing is what that is all about anyway.
My PS3 version had a glitch and i got so far on easy and then the game could not complete, graphics missing, etc…
But once i started again on normal mode and got my first power the goodies i saved while on easy mode came back.
So it was all good and i completed it on normal.
It was a lot of fun in the tradition of the originals.
I would have liked a better save system where i could have gone back a ways and so i subtracted one star.
Considering this game was rushed just to come out on time with the movie, I would say this game is far better than I was expecting. The storyline is pretty interesting and the level design is nicely done. The ability to freeze water adds a unique challenge and forces you to have some pretty fast reflexes at times. The music is great but it seems to pause whenever the game saves. The graphics are solid with a few minor glitches. The voice acting is great. Controls are solid. It’s a very enjoyable game and I recommend it for any Prince of Persia or platformer fan.
Great game up until about two-thirds of the way through. When auto-saving, it returns you to a previous area, but the gates are closed, so there is no way to get out. I checked the web, and several others have experienced this problem. How can such a major glitch get in such a high-profile game? There is a solution–deleting the saved file and letting your PS3 download a backup file, but it takes you way back into the game. This game also has some camera and control issues. Seems that it needed another run through quality control before being released.
i thought it was a very fun game! the puzzles aren’t exactly the hardest to figure out but they are challenging. its not like you get through everything on your first try. the water timing gets very tricky towards the end. i gave up on Tomb Raider because the puzzles were too hard! wasnt fun for me to run around in circles for hours at a time. i think Uncharted 2 was just perfect. another similar game Dante’s Inferno, very very fun! i really enjoyed that game.
but back to prince of persia, it was a little easy and short. i rented it thursday, played it for a few hours. came back to it and played it a few hours the next morning and beat it. i guess i’d give it 4 stars for very fun and entertaining and graphics were decent, but definately that camera lock sucked!! missed like every secret figure breaking thing becuase the camera was blocking it out! good out weighs the bad here though. its short but sweet! hell i’ll give it 5 stars, it was a really fun game!
