Is "returning" items I bought somewhere else for cheap to Wal-Mart for a profit illegal/immoral?
And what are the consequences? You see, I bought two copies of Littlebigplanet (PSP) and two copies of Gran Turismo (PSP) for $10 each at K-Mart when they had a sale a while back in plans of giving them as gifts for Christmas. As time went by, though, I realized maybe they wouldn't make as good of gifts to the people I hoped to give them to. So, naturally, I kept one of each of the games to myself, and now have two extra copies on my hands. So, what would be the best way to get money back for them?Wal-Mart, of course. They're about the only place left that will take back products without receipts- especially shortly after psp for sale cheap the holiday season- and store credit is anything but a waste, considering they carry so much of everything. But is it illegal/immoral?I mean, the games are still sealed and everything. The K-Mart copies are no different than the Wal-Mart ones. If people abuse it repeatedly, Wal-Mart may stop taking returns without receipts altogether. The morality of the situation is definitely questionable.So where does that leave the legality? I really don't know what Wal-Mart's exact return policy is, or if returning items that didn't come from there purposefully is against it (which is the main reason I'm asking). I mean, Wal-Mart probably doesn't want people doing it, no matter what. If it is illegal, is it something heavily frowned upon with dire consequences? Or is it kind of a formality, like not being able to buy items for friends with an employee discount?I really want to know what you all think about this, and the straight-up facts about the return policy regarding this.
