Are there other download frauds like PSP Blender?
At the top of the home page, it says "PSP Blender offers PSP Downloads - Fill your PSP with Movies, Games, Music, Wallpaper."In the FAQ it says "With your PSP Blender Membership you receive instant access to millions of files ready to be transferred to your PSP."Actually it psp offers is only an index to other Web sites that host downloads, most of which are being distributed illegally. PSP Blender does not identify which files are being distributed legally, and it does not find any files which could not be found more easily using a search engine. If you use the freeware installed by PSP Blender to download files, it re-distributes the files to others during the download. That makes you a distributor.I've seen people asking how to get a refund from PSP Blender, and I've been posting messages explaining how to do it. Now I'd like to know the names of any other frauds like PSP Blender, so I can post messages about those, too.

the product arrived on time. now, i can have the psp, usb cable, memory cards and headphones in one case. It’s strong enough to protect my psp from damage and impact.thanks!

The best feature about this case is easily the low price. As of this writing you can pick up this case for under $10, which is impressive since this case has a rigid shell and therefore better protects your PSP from the rigors of mobile gaming. Fortunately, in spite of the hard shell, the case remains sleek and slim. It will consume only slightly more space in your bag than the PSP itself.

The case closes with a heavy duty zipper and features a carabiner hook, which is handy for securing the case to your bag, belt loop, etc. Apart from the hook, the outside of the case is matte black, smooth and simple, devoid of logos, patterns or textures. The average observer might not recognize this as a PSP case. Personally I would consider this a bonus since you probably don’t want your PSP to grow legs and walk away on you.

The interior of the case holds the PSP quite snugly. The device will actually sort of pop in and out of the case. This is generally a good thing except for an exposed rivet inside the case. If left alone this might wind up scratching a small corner of your PSP. It’s a simple remedy, though, as I just popped in a small piece of Dr. Scholls pad.

Apart from the PSP you won’t fit much inside the case. The centre flap has padding on the PSP side to keep your screen protected. (Although I still recommend investing in a screen overlay). The upper side of the flap includes two fitted web slots for UMDs.

The upper lid of the case has only a small elastic web. There is a little give to it so you can easily fit a couple more UMDs and a USB charge cable but don’t plan on bringing your wall charger or AV cables. Memory sticks should be able to squeak in as well but pay care when opening and closing the case so as not to let them fall out.

On the whole I doubt you’ll be able to find a better case or a better price. If you plan to take your PSP with you frequently, I highly recommend keeping it safe with this case.

great deal for the price only issue is the button for the clip it can scratch the psp but i put and eye class cleaner to help protect it the clip it comes with is cheap and not durable at all it feels like its made from plastic but it does the job its supposed to maybe i’m just nit picky

  • Comment by Ngu

The case is good, solid and seems durable as expected, it fits the PSP model and all specs in the page are as shown. However be aware that the strap that suppoused to keep the PSP on the case has a small area to attach it so there is a space of about 1/4 inch between the PSP and the cover and seems to weak that if you by mistake twist the case, it is possible that the weight of the PSP will make the strap to open and the PSP could fall.

The PSP is the first portable console released by Sony; it was first released in Japan late 2004 then in America in March of 2005 and the first upgrade the 2000 was launched in 2007. The PSP 3000 came out in 2008 and is the third and latest version of the PSP. I think that by now you should know what to expect, after all it’s the same PSP with a few changes. This one is even lighter and brighter than the original and the 2000, it has an improved LCD screen (I wouldn’t worry too much about the scan lines). It now has a microphone (which I’ve never used as of now), a longer battery life it also feels great in my hands which is great. It comes in different colors; piano black, silver, purple and white (there are also limited edition ones as well and some with designs on them). There are also many packages to choose from, maybe you just want the core to replace your current PSP or you may want to buy the Ratchet and Clank package(this is the one I bought) or perhaps the Assassin’s Creed one.

So is it worth buying a PSP 3000 right now? Yes. There are some goods games available like Final Fantasy Crisis Core, God of War and there are still good games coming out for the system. The games don’t cost that much either they are priced reasonably, you can buy a brand new one for about 40$ and “Greatest Hits” games are under 20$. It does a lot of things for a portable console, including networking. You may want to consider buying a bigger memory stick card if you plan on playing many games and having many files on your PSP. Don’t worry about the PSP Go, I know there are some concerns but it’s a different console and Sony aren’t planning to replace the PSP with it, it’s entirely different and if you aren’t comfortable with the fact that you don’t have physical copies of the game (you buy games online) you should rather get this one or an older version of the PSP.

PSP3000 console was the best console Sony has released its PSP with better screen, graphics very good,
is very easy to use, entertaining, fun and very easy to share.

Have had it for 1 year is great player with good battery life very enertaining while on trips on waiting on class to start.

I bought this for my girlfriend’s brother, not knowing a newer version would be coming out within a year. He liked it, however I haven’t seen it in a good 6 months. This review is outdated, I know.

My nephew has been asking for the psp for quite sometime .He is just 4 years ,I always thought the psp is for kids above eight .I got it for him for his birthday in feb but to my suprise he loved it so much ,he made my day telling me that it was the best gift he received for his birthday. We received the product in good condition .

  • Comment by Garden

I received this as a Birthday gift last month. I am impressed with it so far.

It comes with the Gran Turismo game which I have yet to play as I downloaded and purchased other games before I plugged it into my system.
The free movie download would be nice if The Italian Job were a film I was interested in seeing. The silver system overall is nice, fingerprints do not show up to badly on the system. Battery Power is short as far as handheld gaming goes…mine lasts 4-5 hours of straight play.

The downloadable comic feature is really nice and I find myself using that as much as playing my games.
I basically use this as a way to pass time while sitting in my college class buildings in between classes.
This would be good for a moderately lengthened car ride (3-4 hours) or domestic plane trip.

  • Comment by Naylor

It’s very fun, there are lots of cars to choose from, lots of tracks to race in, and it plays very great, even for a handheld game! People claim it gets boring after a while, but I never thought so. Each car handles differently, and is always a challenge when you buy a new car! The PSP works fine as well, definitely better than the older models! I was very pleased with this product!

  • Comment by Ibrahim

I recently lost my Nintendo DS on an airplane, so I thought I would try this sucker out, since it came with a lot of cool stuff!
    I was right.

The PSP is AMAZING. I have never tried a PSP before I bought this, but this is seriously awesome. Compared to the DS’ graphics, the PSP’s are by far the best you can get on a portable system, no debate.

    Stuff that comes with it:

Gran Turismo – Great game with the best graphics I have ever seen on a portable system! No career mode, though.

White Corvette Car Add On – Well, this is the fastest car I have in Gran Turismo, so yeah. Pretty cool.

2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo by Sony (of Course) – Well, It’s a memory stick. What do you expect?

Italian Job PSN Download Voucher – It’s cool that they put this in this bundle. How much more can they put in here?

10 free song downloads from SonyMusicPass – Free music from Sony. Cool!

If you want a PSP, this bundle or the Rock Band Unplugged bundle are definitely the best options.

    Enjoy!

    -:D

I finally got around to buying a PSP and I decided to start with this bundle. I cannot believe I waited this many years to get this system. This system is amazing the wifi picks up great and downloads with ease. There are so many classic good games for the PSP that can be had cheap now for under $10. If you dont have a PSP and have thought about getting one I would highly recommend it. I already own 4 other games besides metal gear solid that came with the bundle and they were only $30 from amazon. This bundle is a great way to start out with a PSP since it includes metal gear peace walker a memory card and the console. I would not recommend this bundle however for younger players because this game will probably be to difficult for them. If you are older however this bundle is a great way to start out.

Ok, there are three (3) reviews before this one and none of them talk about the Pack. So I will do my best here. First of all, the real color of the PSP is not the green represented in the picture. The picture shows a light green PSP and it’s actually more a DARK Green! It looks great. IMO it looks a lot better than the picture in the box. Soon I will upload pictures! Now, nobody seems to care about this next issue I found: THE PACK INCLUDES Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker without the UMD CASE, I mean, THERE ARE NO BOX COVER ART in this package. For me it’s a disadvantage ’cause I like the box art design. So, if having the UMD Case w/ Art is a priority, you should avoid this one and buy a Core Pack PSP and the Peace Walker game separately. I just learned to live w/ the pain… =( This PSP Entertainment Pack also includes a Memory Stick Pro Duo of 2GB (you’ll need more than 2GB if you want to put videos and music on – Peace Walker has the option to install game data to faster the loading times and it takes about 800MB) and two vouchers: one is for downloading items for the game (stealth gun and a FOX T-Shirt) and another to download “2012″ Movie at Wide Screen Standard Resolution – 480p (which can be transferred to the PS3 if you connect your PSP via USB once you downloaded the movie – I don’t know if you can put the code into the PSN in the PS3, I guess you can).

I have to say that the GameStop exclusive Big Boss Pack is a much better deal than this one since it includes a 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo (not just 2GB) and a Peace Walker Branded accessory kit (which includes a carrying case for the PSP) for the same price. I didn’t get that one because I don’t like the camouflaged PSP. And after seeing the real green color of the Peace Walker Entertainment Pack I’m more than happy w/ it and I don’t regret it!

The Peace Walker game by itself makes the PSP a greater system. It’s really a Metal Gear Solid Game! It continues the story after Portable Ops events but it’s more a sequel of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (which is great). The Dialogues, the scenes, the story… everything is there, in a pocket size! Peace Walker uses the RPG elements introduced in Portable Ops but expand them a lot more. If you like MGS series, you’ll love this one. If you don’t like / know MGS Series, YOU SHOULD TRY this one. It’s really good! Personally, I’m having more fun than MGS4 game (I don’t mean METAL GEAR ONLINE). The only weak point of the game is the Missing INFRASTRUCTURE mode for ONLINE Co-op / Vs. It’s just Ad-Hoc. I have heard that you can link your PSP trough a PS3 via Ad-Hoc Party mode and play online, but I don’t know how to do it and I haven’t seen it in the instruction manual yet! Ad-Hoc Co-op is great: smooth and straight forward. You don’t need a lot of tech knowledge to host/join a game. It’s just great! 4/5 for the game (-1 for the missing infrastructure mode – I really miss it, even Portable Ops has it).

The other details that is not covered are the one for the PSP 3000, which you can find in others reviews around the web. This Pack doesn’t include a new PSP, it’s just a Green Colored PSP 3000.

I recommend this Pack for those who don’t like the Camouflaged PACK (or don’t like to buy in GameStop).I really like the color and for now (Amazon.com always lowers the games’ prices), you can save about 20 bucks (PSP core-$170, MGS:PW-$39.99, and MemStick 2GB- about $7? = ~$217! I didn’t count the “2012″ movie because, honestly, who thinks this movie is a deal maker?! I mean, the movie is not that good and it’s not HD either! So I’m seeing it as a welcome addition more than a deal maker! ;) I hope this helps! I will update the review if I find any other relevant thing!

If you are considering a PSP, this package is definitely a great value. Included is the PSP in “Spirited Green,” a UMD copy of “Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker” with downloadable content, a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo, and a digital download copy of the movie “2012.”

    PSP 3000 (Spirited Green):
Hardware-wise, this is the standard “PSP-3000″ with a “Spirited Green” colored shell. The color of the PSP pictured on Amazon.com is not completely accurate; while the color is green, it is a darker green that shown, which in my opinion is perhaps the best color finish released so far for the PSP. The color could almost be described as a dark green “metallic fleck.” The finish is glossy, and will attract finger prints. As someone who has not owned a PSP before, I have to say that the capabilities of this machine are impressive. Internet access, music and video playback, Skype, connectivity with your PS3 system, and a great selection of games.

UMD Copy of “Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker”:
I have been a fan of the Metal Gear Solid series since Metal Gear: Solid for the original PlayStation. Although I have not played the previous MGS titles for the PSP, this game is what made my decision to purchase a PSP. The game is very entertaining, and feels like a true compliment to the PS/PS2/PS3 games. Recruiting soldiers with the “Fulton Recovery System” is very interesting. The controls for the game required some acclimation, but having never even used a PSP before I expected that. Within a short time, the controls felt intuitive and useable, although trying to aim, move, and fire can take some practice. The game is packaged in a simple cardboard sleeve; you don’t receive the complete retail packaging, which just cuts down on some unnecessary waste. The downloadable content included is a special “Fox” unit tee-shirt, and a special Stealth Gun. The Fox tee-shirt is a fluff item; it changes your appearance while still providing the same cammo value as the basic fatigues. The Stealth Gun is handy when playing with others, as you can shoot your team-mates to make them stealthy.

    2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo:
Your standard 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. Pretty much required to play “MGS: Peace Walker” since the game will install data to the card to improve the game’s load times, as well as store save game data. This will use about 850MB of the card. Its inclusion in this package is nice as it ensures that you have everything you need to start playing right out of the box, but as your game library grows or if you plan to download movies, you will want to purchase a larger card.

    Digital Download Copy of “2012″:
I haven’t watched the movie yet, but I have downloaded it onto my PC. This is a nice feature of the PSP; you can download movies purchased for use on the PSP to your PC Computer using Sony’s “Media Go” program which can be downloaded from the official Sony Website. Once you download the movie(s) to your computer, you can attach your PSP to your PC via a USB 2.0 Cable and transfer the movie. This gives you a copy on your PC to watch (and save as a back-up) and a copy on your PSP to watch and enjoy. The movie itself is approx. 2.5GB, so if you plan to watch it on your new PSP, you will need to purchase a larger Memory Stick Pro Duo than comes with the kit.

In all, the “Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Entertainment Package” is a great value if you are interesting in jumping into the PSP handheld gaming library.

the camo one WAS at game stop it WAS available for pre order but it is totally sold out in my area

  • Comment by Frontuto

First off this is my first PsP system so I do not know how it compares to the 1000-3000 models. All I know is that I wanted to be able to play classic PlayStation games like Castlevania:SOTN without looking like I was playing a little kids toy in front of family/friends. Being 34 years old the library of down-loadable PSone games was my selling point. I spent many hours 10+ years ago on these games so jumped at the chance to get a portable. My experience so far has been that the games are easy to download and they work like a charm.

This is a wonderful item but don’t be like me and expect something as polished as the ipod touch/ Itunes combo. The PsP and Media Go do what they are supposed to without the style of apple. In my opinion the potential for this device is unlimited and I hope Sony continues support for it. The Media Go store is a little bare boned at the moment so I am hoping they add more classic games to it in the near future. As far as current generation PsP games I cannot speak to the quality of them as I purchased this as mainly a Playstion One system. The quality of the system compared to the price is a bit questionable, the plastic feels a tad flimsy and cheap. It does not seem to have an impact on gameplay and the buttons have all held up very well. Overall I give this a 4/5 stars.

  • Comment by Haggerty

OK, I already owned a PSP, and I had an 8 gig memory card to boot, so I could have done exactly what this system can do. Honestly, when this system came out, I was pissed off at the all download format. This eliminates me being able to trade in old games, or buy used ones? What a horrible idea? But then, the more reviews I read the more interesting this system became to me. Basically, I traded in my system (which had a few dead pixels and a really loud drive) and all of my umd’s for roughly the cost of the system. I had to pay tax. Oh well. Here is what I have noticed that is different.

    1) the screen on the go is definitely smaller, and I who work in television notice this, it is smaller, but it is definitely sharper.

    Advantage: PSP 2000

    2) The price of downloads is definitely higher than buying a copy used.

    Advantage: PSP 2000

    3) You CANNOT change the battery, but on average I get more power out of a single charge than did with either of my 2000 batteries. I don’t like that I cannot change batteries, but without all the loading, I can play longer on a charge.

    Advantage: Tie

    4) Overall, the go system is smaller and easier to port around.

    Advantage: Go

    5) The buttons on the go were funky at first, but I have really come to appreciate the feel of them. I am not as crazy about the bumpers, but as a whole, the location and feel are better.

    Advantage: Go

    6) To put the system in sleep mode, I can do it the old way by quick sliding the power switch, OR I can add the option to put it to sleep by closing it, which I do.

    Advantage: Go

    7) I can easily pause a game and shut the system completely down. EVERY game has this option because it is part of the hardware. I feel this can and is a system software, and the older PSP’s should get this eventually.

Advantage: Go, for now. Tie if the 2000 ever got this

    8) I no longer have to carry around UMD’s. I used to have 2 cases in my bag, one for the system, and one for extra umd’s.

    Advantage: Go

    9) Location of volume, screen brightness and equalizer moved to the top of the system, home button on the top panel. This gets ultra annoying when shutting the system down. I have lowered the volume all the way several times or change the equalizer. Not easy to access when screen is up.

    Advantage: PSP 2000

    10) No UMD Drive, means I don’t have to hear the damn thing spinning all the time. Also, loading seems to have been improved, but this should be obvious since you don’t need to access a disc.

    Advantage: Go

    11) The downloadable library online does not have all the games I want. When I traded them in, there were only 4 games I didnt want to lose. I got 3 of them from downloads, I cannot get the 4th. *(Exit)

    Advantage: PSP 2000

    12) You can link Bluetooth devices, including a PS3 controller to this.

Advantage: Go, but then again, if I am at home, I will play my ps3, not my PSP Go

Well, I made this review long enough, so I will stop with points, but alas I am happy with my upgrade. I am upset that none of my old accessories will work for this system, Sony has a wonderful reputation for not adding backwards compatability, but then again I can understand why. The Go is not only a cosmetic upgrade, but an electronic one as well. One that has different power requirements. I still support my local game stores as well, by going in to buy network cards for game downloads, and I like it that way.

Let’s be honest, the gaming industry hates trading and selling. Sony is only the first company to dive into download only format. The other companies will follow suit eventually, make no mistake about it.

The pro’s and con’s are quite the list, and overall it comes down to personal preference. I like that I dont have to carry so much stuff with me now, but I don’t like not being able to sell my games. Which is more important to you is up to you to decide.

In the end, the goal is to have fun. the PSP 3000 (yes, I had a 2000 not made anymore) is definitely a worthwhile machine. I liked my 2000, but I plan on using this for all my media, including my mp3 player.

    Good luck!
